Dr. Cook was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from high school in Basin, Wyoming. He received his MD degree from California College of Medicine/ UC Irvine. He interned at San Diego County Hospital/UC San Diego Medical Center. He was then drafted from the first year of a surgical residency and served as a Captain in the US Army Medical Corps for two years. He completed his orthopedic residency in the LBVA/UC Irvine program. After 30 years of private practice in Southern California he retired to Shell, Wyoming. At the encouragement of Dr.Howard Willson, MD and with the acceptance of the medical community of Hot Springs County Hospital, Gottsche Rehabilitation Center and the people of Thermopolis and Hot Springs County he is now providing the option of local orthopedic care in Thermopolis.
